The reason for this is that lifting weight can put pressure on certain areas of the body, and sometimes it can be risky to the baby’s well being, so until you have given birth do try to avoid exercises that have the inclusion of weights.

Swimming is a good way to exercise; it is a gentle balance and does not require a huge amount of strain on any part of the body. This will help ensure that the baby is safe and not under and pressure. This is probably one of the most recommended exercises through pregnancy as it is safe and slow moving yet it can be a very effective workout.

Exercise differs between individuals but overall you should try to avoid stressful exercise and try and take things slowly, 9 months is not an incredibly long amount of time, and once the pregnancy is over you should be able to return to your normal workout routine.
